Mourne Marine Surveys was established in 2015 by Sam Campbell. Before becoming involved in Marine Surveying, Sam worked as a Marine Engineer and has over thirty years experience in the marine industry.

In 1987 Sam received his Certificate of Service, Engineer Officer – Class 1 (Fishing Vessel) Certificate No 174 from the Department of Trade and Industry.

Sam established his own successful business, Mourne Marine Engineering in 1991.

In 2010 Sam joined the engineering team onboard the Pelagics Trawler "Voyager N905", subsequently becoming Chief Engineer. During this time, Sam enrolled on a distance learning programme through Lloyds Maritime Academy and Middlesex University, London and graduated with a Master of Science Degree (MSc) in Marine Surveying. Sam left the Voyager Fishing Company and set up Mourne Marine Surveys in June 2015.

Sam is a member of IMarEst and registered with the Engineering Council of the UK as a Chartered Marine Engineer. He is also an IMCA Accredited Vessel Inspector.
